Kimberly Walker Curves Beautifully Empowered (CBE) is a tax-deductible, non-profit 501(c)3 organization that is committed to transforming the lives of women and younger girls by providing empowering and inspiring experiences through fashion and confidence-boosting events, vision workshops and sisterhood. Our mission is to empower women and girls to embrace their curves; to see, to accept and soar into their personal awesomeness.
Curves Beautifully Empowered (CBE) was founded in 2015 with the launch of the signature event Curves Beautifully Empowered Experience with 40 women in attendance. Shortly after, vision workshops were launched helping women reach their goal achievement. Each year this organization has strives to increase connection to women in King County. In 2016 CBE launched Girls Beautifully Empowered in a middle school in the Kent School District in partnership with a out of school time program.
In spring of 2017 Curves Beautifully Empowered applied for its 501©3 status and received it in November 2017. In 2018 the signature event has increased and CBE Fashion Experience was launched causing a ripple in the local landscape of fashion and definitions of beauty pertaining to bodies of color, of size and difference in Washington State.
All of this has been done through social capital in monetary donations and in-kind donations. CBE is forever grateful to our supporters. We are moving full speed to make 2019 even more impactful!
