For the next few months I will be sharing some amazing empowering stories about women who are doing amazing things and guess what? They are simply like you and me but they have made the choice to take risks, go after their goals and soar.
On January 21st, 2017 I will be hosting an amazing women’s empowerment experience! Curves Beautifully Empowered Experience II to be exact! And you know what? The most awesome aspect about taking on this project is the women I meet who give their time to empower and inspire the woman next to them. Last year I found myself in tears just taken aback by the authentic connections I saw being made. Needless to say 2017 will be epic and I can’t wait! I am inspired by each of these ladies!
Now, what is Curves Beautifully Empowered Experience II? It is a platform to encourage women to see, accept, and soar in their personal awesomeness. It is an opportunity for women to change their lives by the taking necessary steps to achieve their goals. This event is for the woman who has it all together but needs to be refueled, and for the woman who is trying to figure it out. The Curves Beautifully Empowered Experience II weekend will provide an opportunity for women to connect with each other, hear powerful stories, and feel inspired to move forward in their personal journey.
Mission: To transform the lives of women by providing empowering and inspiring experiences necessary to living an empowered life.
Vision: To see every woman with curves large and small to take the risks in life necessary to achieve her dream.
I can’t wait to introduce you to the inspirational women who will be joining our luncheon and panel discussions “Empowering Her and Inspiring You” & “Health, Wealth & Curves”, personal development workshops and ending with MIXXEDFIT! There will be opportunity for vendors which equals great shopping!
Registration will open soon! And the unveiling of the awesome day so stay tuned!!!!!

- New job?
- Start a business?
- New Car?
- New friendship?
- Date more often?
- Take a great vacation?
- Try a new hobby?
- Try a new recipe?
what is it that you want to accomplish? Well here is a great opportunity help you focus by creating YOUR vision board and help with identifying what are some key tasks you can do to get there.
Of course there will be good food, all the trimmings for creating your vision board. You are welcome to bring items special to you to add. You will connect with awesome women who have goal achievement in the brain and words of inspiration coming from the heart.
The post today is very simple. You can hear the word NO or you can accept it. Now what is the difference? When you hear the word NO you can let is resonate and figure out what does it mean for you at that time of hearing it. Or you can accept the answer NO and not move forward in whatever quest your seeking.
Remember this and I’m sure you have heard it a million times! No = Rejection = Direction = Correction ultimately you land in the right spot when you are able to wisely hear the word NO and keep working. Never stop seeking what you want to achieve but be wise enough to HEAR and follow the direction it is leading you.
As a full figured woman, I am very serious about creating opportunities that benefit women with curves. I am very excited about the current movement that Lane Bryant is spear heading but more importantly I am excited about the women world wide who are posting, sharing and speaking out loud that #plusisequal! Every woman is beautiful in her own right regardless of her size, skin color and style choices. This is a great opportunity for women to be heard.
Think about this, if every full figured woman accepted the answer NO where would the plus industry be? Because AMAZING women have stepped up their game to provide a yes to the NO of the main stream fashion world we have been blessed with amazing plus fashion.
4 tips for you today:
1. No is an opportunity, not a dead end.
2. Never stop reaching towards your goal because of rejection.
3. When the doors are always close, go ahead and build your door and become the gate keeper.
3. Plus Is Equal, the full figured, curvy, bodacious woman is equal to all women.

I was thinking there are days, weeks or months when we can feel unappreciated, lonely, unproductive, frustrated and unhappy with their current place in life….So what changes it?
A few thoughts:
- First and foremost reframing you mind. The number one factor that determines how you will live each day.
- Changing the environment, people and space.
- Trying something new (branch outside your norm)
- Revamp your perception. (For example: I can be upset at people for not doing for me what I do for them or I can accept the fact that the way I think and do is unique to me and to have expectations of others to do the same is not productive.
- Dressing up to have an amazing day even when you feel blah.
- Declare your I statements: I will not stay in my current funk! I am excited about reaching my goals! I believe that I can do it! I know what I am feeling is only temporary!
As human being we often live complicated lives due to our complicated thinking. We have to learn to take a few moments to reflect and simplify our lives. I would love for you to join me and my list of inspiring and empowering speakers on August 28th-30th to come and use that time to hear from others and work on what is important to you. I can’t imagine where I would I be without the amazing people I surround myself with to help celebrate me in awesome times and to help restore me in my low valleys. Like it or not everyone has their moments.
Wishing everyone an amazing weekend!
